Dear Tate,


You are now 5 months old. It's amazing to think that you are getting so big!! You love eating cereal and fruit now. We started that on November 9th with just cereal. You weren't so sure about it at first, as the video tape shows!! But you LOVE it now! This week we started adding some fruits and vegetables to it. You had bananas first and loved them! Last night you had carrots for the first time. You weren't so sure, at that first bite, but you ate the rest without batting an eye!

This month you also began reaching for us when we pick you up. You don't do it consistently, but you do try! November 6th, was the first day that you started doing that to Mama Sherry. Granpa taught you how to "shake". You will put your hand out and shake someone's hand, it's halarious!!

In October (the 3rd, you started laughing and by the next day, Oct. 4th you were laughing on purpose). Last night you were cracking up when you were eating your carrots and cereal and throwing your head and arms back to laugh! You love to sit in the car walker that DeeDee bought for you and honk the horn!! One night you were honking the horn with your face!! I thought you were stuck and couldn't sit back up, but you were just having a good time!!

Here are some other things about you right now:

• You weighed 14.10lbs. and were 24 1/2 inches tall at your last doctor's appointment.
• You are wearing size 1-2 diapers (Although they are getting pretty small!)
• You LOVE Mickey Mouse, you will sit and talk to all of them in Mama Sherry's Mickey Mouse office! It's so funny!
• No teeth yet, but you are biting our fingers so hard, we think it could be any day!
• You have slept much better since starting cereal (going from about 8:30pm to 6:30 or 7am and not being fussy at all when you wake up! You just smile at me and play until it's time to get up!
• You have tried cereal, bananas and carrots so far for "real" food. This doesn't include all of the licking and sucking of things that we all put in your hands (cake icing, chips, pizza crust, etc.)
• You have started to cry or fuss when you see a bottle and you think it's time to eat!!
• You are wearing 3-6 month clothes.
• Your size 0 shoes are getting too small!! But I have size 1's all ready for you!!
• You are a happy baby and are so much fun!!

It's been awhile!!!!

Well sometimes things don't go exactly as planned! My goal is to update a couple of times a week and the last few weeks have flown by! I can hardly believe it's almost Thanksgiving! Things have been really busy at school too.

Miss Tate turned 5 months yesterday, pictures to come of her 5-month photo shoot. I will share her Halloween pictures, she was a cute giraffe!! We didn't go anywhere, we decided since the flu seemed to be everywhere that week, that we would just go to my parents to hang out. She did help us pass out the candy and see all the "trick-or-treaters" though. Here are some pictures of her "Halloween photo shoot"!
